Program Review
By Spring 2004, almost all
academic programs had completed program reviews in the 2001-2004 three-year
cycle. All reviews are developed in a consistent format reflecting a
program description, institutional effectiveness data based on performance
indicators, analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the program, and
recommendations for improvement. Most of the reviews submitted in 2002 and
2003 were reviewed by the PCC Program Review Work Group.
In June 2003, PCC approved
performance indicators for all student services programs and campus operations
programs. These programs completed their reviews during the 2003-04
academic year. The cycle of program review will be suspended in 2004/05 to
allow for a complete, streamlined evaluation of all reviews resulting in a
synthesis of outcomes and recommendations.
In the same year, the program
review process for academic programs will be updated to add 2003-04 data so that
trends in performance indicators can be used for planning.
